Admiral are pleased to have announced a further three-year sponsorship agreement with the City and County of Swansea to support Waterfront Winterland.
Admiral have supported the popular seasonal attraction since 2007 and for the next three years will sponsor the Admiral Ice Rink, which means that staff will benefit from free tickets and discounted group skating sessions.
Sue Longthorn, Admiral MD, said, “As a keen supporter of events in our communities, we are delighted to be a part of Waterfront Winterland for another three years.
“This is a very popular attraction with families across Swansea Bay and further afield and is an important part of the Christmas season.
“It’s become an annual fixture in the Admiral calendar of events, with teams looking forward to some time on the ice together as part of their festive activities.”
Councillor Graham Thomas, Swansea’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Recreation and Tourism added, “Waterfront Winterland is one of the Council’s biggest and most popular events and is now a regular fixture on our annual events calendar.
“We are delighted that Admiral also recognises the success of this event, so much so that they are continuing with their sponsorship for a further three years. We welcome their partnership and look forward to continuing to work with them over the next three years.”
Waterfront Winterland has had an average of 115,000 visitors a year since it began five years ago and contributes more than £7 million to the local economy.
