| Gateway Academy is a pilot development programme for colleagues that is designed to help prepare them to enter their first management role. Taking place over a 6-9 month period the pilot is ensuring that our colleagues receive a wide variety of training, coaching and real life experiences that will prepare and develop them for leadership roles within the business. The course content comprises of training sessions run by our senior mangers; as well as self-directed learning. Throughout the process our colleagues are supported by a coach and mentor from our management population. Currently 16 colleagues are on the pilot Gateway Academy programme, anticipated to finish between March and June. Breakthru Plus is a programme to support our operational management team in engaging with the leadership challenges and opportunities that our business plans provide us with each year. During November on December 60 managers completed the first phase of Breakthru Plus, a day long programme focused on ‘Being the best manager I can be’. The second phase of Breakthru Plus is anticipated to start in February. |
