Award Ceremony

British Gas has been honoured for its support of careers education and guidance at a special ceremony held in Cardiff.

Careers Wales Cardiff and Vale held its Most Valued Partner Awards at the St David’s Hotel and Spa, for organisations which have made an outstanding contribution to Careers Wales initiatives.

Careers Wales Cardiff and Vale provides free, impartial careers information, advice and guidance for all ages. The company’s Education Business Partnership (EBP), plays a major role in brokering links between local employers, schools and colleges helping to raise student achievement and providing young people with opportunities to develop work related skills.

Claire Davies was presented with the EBP Award for Support of the Business Ambassador Programme by David Emery, Managing Director of COS – Complete Office Solutions. The awards ceremony, supported by BuzzWales.com, Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, KTS Owens Thomas, British Gas and The Complete Office Solution, recognised support for a range of initiatives, including work experience, mentoring, the promotion of enterprise and business awareness, projects to promote social inclusion, the training and recruitment of young people, and support for teacher placements.
