Six soccer mad Cardiff lads signed up for a 5 a side challenge last month all in aid of Cancer Research Wales. The event attracted 20 teams from local clubs and businesses and promised the 2 semi-finalists the rare opportunity of a penalty shoot out at the Cardiff City home ground, Ninian Park during half time of their last home game of the season!

It looked like everything was lost right at the start when the lads lost their first group match 7-2 (we're told some hangovers may have been to blame) however, the lads managed to come back and following 3 impressive wins (4-0, 3-2, 4-1) were through to the next stage!

This will take place during half time game of the season at half time!

After the lads were sadly knocked out in the quarter final round.

The lads had to raise £150 to enter so all dug deep, to cough up nearly £20 each and managed to get the rest from sponsorship by their team mates.
