Gladiator has packed up its bags and moved to the spanking new Ellipse Building, just a shield’s throw away from Admiral Group House. All 150 staff plus 21 new starters began settling into the new digs on 11 May.

The move is part of a successful year for the brand, which has around 88,000 customers and is expecting to reach 100,000 by the end of 2009.

To celebrate in true Gladiator fashion - we're not talking togas and sandals - the managing driector and his move team arranged breakfast, lunch and tea on the day, delivered by various other helpful members of the Gladiator family.

Everyone seems to love the new offices, with many staff commenting how comfortable the atmosphere is. "It’s not like a call centre at all, it's like an office," said one happy employee.

Stuart Rose and Felicity Parker were two of the new starters but both have been with Admiral Group for a few years. Stuart was in Renewals for three years and Felicity was in New Biz for four years.

They both love the new office, and have been made to feel very welcome in Gladiator. Have you noticed any changes in behaviour we asked? Oddly enough both have become excellent van spotters!

Gladiator plans a proper house-warming in June so watch this space.
