Lloyds TSB Day to Make a Difference for the National Trust

Lloyds TSB Day to Make a Difference for the National Trust

The South Wales and South Regional Recruitment teams joined forces on 21st October for our Day to Make a Difference out in the community and we achieved exactly that! (despite the somewhat inclement weather). Wearing our waterproofs and wellies, we used hand tools to clear overgrown scrub, bracken and brambles at Cwm Ivy Tor, North West Gower, which is owned by the National Trust. It is a protected area of rich limestone grassland and clearing the scrub enables the natural flora to grow.

Great team work and motivation kept us going along with the help of hot flasks and chocolate! It was a great feeling of satisfaction at the end seeing the huge areas we had cleared and the difference we had all made.

A huge thank you to Andrew Thomas, Geraint Evans, Elin Clift, Lucy Hay, Donna Davies, Sue Crew, Sarah Bassett, Becki Wiltshire (and myself!) who all helped on the day.
