On April 25th the NSPCC hosted a Mini Triathlon along Swansea Bay. It was a wet and drizzly start to the day with the would be athletes turning up at 8am on a Sunday yet spirits were high.
Starting at Knab Rock in Mumbles the
participants cycled up to the National Pool of Wales for the swimming segment, then the race culminated with the run back to Knab Rock. 87 members of staff joined the triathlon either individually or as a team and managed to raise a total of £4,343! It was a fantastic day despite the weather with a reward of a nice cup of tea at the finishing line. With the day being such a success the Swansea Centre are arranging another Triathlon next year with many already psyching themselves up for the challenge.
