Job Title: Associate, Tax Valuations – Cardiff Centre of Excellence, Tax & Legal, Cardiff
Job Category: Financial Services
Contract Type: Permanent
Deloitte’s Centre of Excellence (COE) consists of highly specialist administrative professionals and is looking to expand its Tax Valuations team. The COE provides expert administrative business support and guidance to the wider firm, with continuous service improvement always at the centre of everything we do.
This isn’t your typical admin role – you’ll need to be highly organised, have a sharp eye for detail and be able to work to tight deadlines within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. With good judgement and a solutions-oriented approach, you’ll quickly become a valuable and trusted member of our growing and ambitious team. Our culture is one of continuous improvement and we’ll rely on you to deliver quality, innovative and cost-effective administrative practices that add real value.
We encourage consideration of flexible ways of working, both formal and informal arrangements that allow for the best outcomes for our people and our clients. If this opportunity is of interest to you with some flexibility, please do discuss with us.
The COE is made up of several different teams, all experts in their areas and all working together to ensure that each service line is fully supported. Tax Valuations specialise in the valuation of business assets for tax and accounting purposes. We help businesses and individuals understand the value that tax authorities are likely to place on business assets and negotiate values for those assets with tax authorities.
Our work is very varied, from valuing small blocks of shares to be acquired by employees of a private company to valuing multi-billion pound businesses and intangible assets. We work with all types of business, including many household names.
You would join a team which plays a critical role in supporting client-facing teams in delivering tax valuations projects. This role will support a national team which is spread out geographically. You would be a key part of our delivery team, undertaking research and analysis, providing assistance with valuation modelling and enabling client facing teams to spend more time in the market. You would promote best practices in the COE, ensuring tasks are completed with a focus on high quality and helping to drive efficiency improvements.
