Propel partners with Barclays to power SME growth

Propel partners with Barclays to power SME growth

As part of their growth and ambitions, Propel has partnered with Barclays Business Banking to give a million small and medium enterprises (SMEs) access to their smart asset finance services to purchase business-critical equipment and vehicles. Together, they help enable businesses to maximise their opportunities, driving productivity and performance.

This collaboration is a key part of Barclays’ plans to help SMEs access fast and flexible asset finance. For Propel, it’s about broadening our reach to even more businesses across the UK. Together, they have one simple aim – get businesses moving forward with the best equipment and vehicle finance solutions.

While Barclays already provides asset finance to larger businesses, the new partnership with Propel allows one million SMEs to gain the benefits of the latter’s technology-driven and service-led asset finance service. This offering combines streamlined processing, rapid decisions and a seamless customer experience.

Whilst Propel’s head office remains in Newport, South Wales, their Partnership operations are supported by a dedicated customer relationship team in Manchester and a national team to support Barclays teams and customers across the UK.

Propel CEO, Mark Catton, says:

“SMEs are the lifeblood of the economy and we’re proud to be working with Barclays to help drive further growth. Working closely with Barclays’ network of around 1,100 UK Relationship Managers and one million small business customers across the UK, we can support those who need to invest in capital equipment, across all industries and equipment types, to grow their business. We believe combining brilliant customer service with great technology makes a real difference for customers.”
