With the launch of sa.global’s early careers programme – elevate! at the start of 2022, we welcomed ten new graduates from various backgrounds to the team.
Two of our early careers’ starters joined us directly from the Graduate Programme Wales, run by the Welsh Contact Centre Forum, Jordan Ong and Daniel King.
As they rapidly approach their year anniversary with the company, let’s see what they have to say about life at
sa.global.
Daniel King – Insights Data Analyst
“My time at sa.global has given me a deep understanding of the principles and processes of
building an end-to-end business intelligence solution and the skills required to implement it. I
have been involved with developing sa.global’s product initiative and creating resourcing and
cashflow intelligence offerings. All colleagues I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with at
sa.global have been friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to offer help. I have also had the
opportunity to gain a Microsoft accredited qualification in the Dynamics365 CRM platform, which
has really helped to improve my understanding of how we support and add value to clients, as
well as enhancing my professional profile.”
Jordan Ong – Associate Consultant
“I joined sa.global in February 2022; my co-workers are a pleasure to work with. I have been
given the support and flexibility I need to develop my personal brand as well as gaining
knowledge from the best people in the industry, helping me to achieve my CRM qualification
and now work towards ERP. The company has helped me acquire many new skills, which all
support establishing my career as a Financial Operations Consultant. Working on-site with a
client in Nottingham, really helped me to learn and perform finance functions first hand as part
of our solution implementation. I’d also like to thank everyone at the WCCF for their support.
They were instrumental with getting my placement role here at sa.global.
Workplace App
Working together with their elevate! colleagues, Daniel and Jordan took on a project to redesign
sa.global’s seat reservation app for their UK offices. Beginning in May, the team kicked off the
project with a meeting with the head of software development to discuss their concept and get
the ball rolling. As they’ve all settled into their respective roles in the company, there were
aspects of the project for each member of the team to showcase their professional creativity.
After scoping, insights, designing and presenting, the team were ready to launch the product
internally. The app has been successfully in use since September with updates being made in
response to internal feedback. The team presented their proposal to our CFO and suggested
innovative ideas to improve the app; a great opportunity to voice their skills and abilities that
they’ve developed since joining us.
With the app now in full use and feedback has been given and followed by updates, we are
hoping to see the app as part of the sa.global product offerings in the future. Daniel, Jordan and
the team have taken their opportunity to develop an offering that can make an impact on the
business as a result; a great achievement so early in their careers.
