The Launch of Graduate Coaches

As part of a new initiative and in partnership with the University of Gloucestershire, we are introducing Graduate Coaches to support graduates joining the Financial Services programme in September 2021.

The Graduate Coaches will take a lead role in supporting and mentoring graduates throughout their time on the programme, ensuring they’re progressing from an academic and professional perspective.

We reached out to members of the consortium and our wider network to advertise the role of Graduate Coach and got an amazing response. We’ve now signed up ten coaches who will all be paid for their time and include a mix of Graduate Programme alumni, Senior Managers & Directors.

We also have a number of volunteer coaches, primarily from Principality Building Society, most of whom will be working towards completing their ILM.

All coaches will work closely with Clair Vincent, the Academic Course Leader at Gloucestershire University and will help to provide a structured development journey for graduates. They’ll meet with graduates on a regular basis to explore their progress and provide feedback and support where necessary.

Our aim is that this coaching scheme will add an additional layer to the graduate experience, having an assigned mentor to check in with, learn from and to help them prepare for their future career in financial services.

We’d like to thank everyone who put themselves forward for the role and look forward to seeing the role of Graduate Coach evolve.
