The Welsh Financial Services Graduate Programme is a unique partnership between leading financial services employers and graduates. The course aims to develop individuals into fully rounded professionals with the skills and attributes to become future leaders in their sector. The graduates work within a department for 8 months and then move onto their next rotation (they have 3 in total while completing their Masters degree). How did our five fabulous grads find their time with us?
Mollie Wells – HR
“I joined Atradius in April 2021 on a temporary 6-month contract, before I started the Graduate Programme. Initially, I was completely out of my comfort zone (never having worked in an office environment). I have gained so much experience and skills that I will be able to transfer to my next role. I have been involved in numerous projects, providing me with skills that I can use in my working life and also my personal life. The highlight of my time at Atradius was networking with people, especially chatting with experts from around the world. I am lucky to have had such a supportive manager. My next placement is at Principality Building Society, in Rewards and Recognition.”
Arminas Lukosius – Risk Services
From the first day I joined Atradius, everyone was really welcoming and supportive. I have gained multiple invaluable skills, developed a thorough understanding of the trade credit insurance industry, and most importantly, met many great people. I have also been given an opportunity to undergo additional training with the Special Products team, undertake exams for an internal qualification, and learn from industry experts. To sum up, these are great examples of how Atradius offers endless opportunities for those who are keen to progress and develop. My next placement will be with the Development Bank of Wales as a Research Analyst. Even though I was happy to receive the aforementioned placement, I will certainly miss Atradius and the wonderful people that it has.
Claire Winmill – Commercial (Strategic)
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Atradius. After not knowing the first thing about credit insurance, I believe I have now gained a great understanding of how the industry operates. Also, I have attained many different transferable skills that I’m sure I’ll use in the future, especially at my next placement at Hodge in Mortgage Products. I am lucky to have been a part of this great team.
Inigo Santillan– Commercial (SME)
My experience with Atradius has been amazing, I’ve had the privilege to work with such an amazing team that has supported me in a lot of ways. Atradius has opened my eyes to the world of Credit Insurance and the processes involved. My time here has given me an insight into what it is like working in an office environment and experiencing a 9-5 lifestyle. Atradius has also strengthened my skills in Microsoft tools such as Excel and PowerPoint. I will use my knowledge and awareness of credit insurance as well as my improved communication skills which I have picked up from communicating with brokers in my next placement which is at Vauxhall Finance. I am forever grateful for the opportunity that Atradius has given me.
Elih Bignell – Marketing
After finishing university and finding out I would be undertaking a placement at Atradius, I didn’t know what to expect. Now 8 months later, I have gained a variety of skills that I can bring with me to my next placement. I have been given the opportunity to work on an assortment of projects with colleagues all around the world. I am fully appreciative to everyone who has made my time at Atradius as enjoyable as it has been. Next I’ll be working as an Operations Analyst at Vauxhall Finance
