Veronica wins Graduate of the Year at the WCCF Awards!

We’d like to offer a huge congratulations to Veronica Horgan who has won the WCCF Graduate of the Year Award!

The Welsh Contact Centre Awards took place virtually this year but despite this, managed to put on an evening full of glitz and glamour brought to us in the comfort of our homes.

This year’s celebrity host was Rylan who managed to make us laugh and interact with the audience throughout despite it being a virtual event.

We were particularly excited for the announcement of the Graduate of the Year Award as six of our graduates were nominated for this category.

This was a new award for 2020 and was presented to the most promising graduate, making their mark on the Graduate Programme.

The nominees were:

Charlotte Vick – Principality Building Society
Shishir Musale – Hodge Bank
Tomos Davies – Admiral
Veronica Horgan – PwC
Michaela Smillie – Talent Ticker
Laura Bowles – Atradius

All the finalists should be proud, simply being nominated is a huge achievement! The judges felt that Veronica stood out for because of her passion for her role, her high energy, motivation and skilled creativeness. They also recognised her initiative to help create a tool to save the NHS.

On winning the award Veronica said:

“I am delighted to have been awarded Graduate of the Year by the WCCF. I worked exceptionally hard for the past two years and at times I questioned whether making a career change from Physiotherapy into Data Science was worth it – but it has definitely paid off!”

Congratulations and well done to Veronica!
