Hello and welcome to our second e-newsletter.
Apparently, there’s a new trendy word that has sprung up as a result of covid-19 – “doomscrolling”. i.e finding yourself glued to your phone screen, mindlessly flicking through depressing news stories for hours on end!
Well, read on, as you won’t find any “doomscrolling” in this newsletter! Over the last quarter, we have experienced nothing but positive news relating to the graduates, employers and the programme!
It is amazing that 100% of graduates from the previous Programme have landed their dream role across the consortium, and we will be working closely to ensure similar success in supporting our current financial services graduates into permanent roles within their final rotation.
We often lose sight of the fast-track career progression of graduates who have previously participated in the Programmes and will be shining the spotlight on our alumni’s success within each newsletter.
Two amazing examples are Ryan Davies, who now finds himself as acting Managing Director of Mortgages at Hodge Bank and a welcome new member of our Strategic Advisory Board, and Lucy Stagg, recently promoted into a senior management position at Atradius – read their inspirational stories below.
We have recently welcomed Debra Shaw, as our new Programme Liaison Manager and are looking forward to Clare Allen’s input into further developing the academic and developmental aspects of the Programme. However, we are sad to announce that Fatima Awda will be leaving us mid-November, thank you Fatima and good luck for the future!
Whilst we say goodbye and good luck to our data science pilot graduates, we have been busy planning “virtual” assessment centres for the new Fast Track Data / AI Graduate Programme starting in January.
We’ve been impressed to date with the calibre of candidates and would like to say a huge thanks to the assessors across the consortium, for giving up time in their busy schedules to take part– apologies that we can’t provide you with the usual coffee and pastries!
Participating employers include Admiral, Amber Energy, Atradius, Confused.com, Principality Building Society, Optimum Credit and Vauxhall Finance. However, there is still time for new employers to participate!
So, sit back and enjoy the second edition of our Graduate Newsletter.
