Welcome to our Autumn Newsletter

It’s been another busy period and since our last newsletter we’ve been able to meet lots of our wider network in person which has been a pleasure.

Back in August we had our summer networking event which was an opportunity for our data and financial services graduates to meet each other as well as the employers. We’ve also had some face-to-face meetings with our strategic advisory board. Thanks to Ian Praed for hosting us at Pepper Money.

The team successfully hosted 3 assessment centres over the space of 4 weeks recruiting our next cohort of data/AI graduates and we’re pleased to have offered 20 talented and passionate graduates who will be starting the Programme in November.

It’s been a robust process and we’re grateful to everyone who supported us, we look forward to seeing you in person at the launch on the 7th of November including our two new employers, Idwal and Acquis Insurance who you can learn more about in the industry spotlight section of the newsletter.

Most recently we hosted the Welsh Contact Centre Awards and are pleased to say that three of our consortium members walked away with awards on the nights. Congratulations to Motonovo, Legal and General and Principality Building Society.

Speaking of awards, we are incredibly proud to have been shortlisted for two prestigious awards, Fintech Awards Wales (Best Academic Programme and Rising Star of the Year) and the STEM Awards Wales (Best Academic Programme). We’d like to say a big thank you to our employers and our academic partners University of South Wales.

Finally we are looking forward to seeing lots of faces at our Rotation 3 event later this month at The Tramshed, Cardiff. This is an opportunity for our Financial Services Graduates to meet with all of the employers and find out more information about the diverse range of placements on offer ahead of their final rotation.
