Welcome to our final newsletter of 2022 and what a year it’s been!
After launching the second Fast Track Programme in a virtual world in January, it’s a relief to say that we’ve moved on from the pandemic and have settled into a new normal of hybrid working.
It’s meant we’ve been able to enjoy lots more social activities and events which have included our highly successful rotation events, a summer networking event, awards ceremonies, hackathons, show and tell sessions and an in-person launch of the third Fast Track Programme just last month.
The year has been incredibly busy, (at one point we had three programmes running simultaneously!), and the team have worked exceptionally hard to ensure we deliver the best programme’s we possibly can.
Our partnership with both the University of Gloucestershire and University of South Wales are stronger than ever which has been reflected in the performance of our graduates across both programmes. As we look to next year, we’ll be working together to host more events for graduates to get involved with.
The programme was also recognised at two prestigious award ceremonies this year. We were awarded a highly commended for Best Academic Programme at the Fintech Wales Awards and won the Award for Best Academic Programme at the STEM Awards Wales. Check out the highlights reel from the evening in the newsletter.
2023 marks 10 years of the Graduate Programme so we’ll be marking the occasion with some exciting activities. Stay tuned.
It also marks the end of our funding from the Welsh European Funding Office. We’ve been working closely with our senior advisory board exploring other avenues for funding but would appreciate your support in sharing our social media and PR news stories as far and wide as possible so we can reinforce the significance of the programme in attracting, retaining and nurturing STEM talent here in Wales.
On behalf of all of us at Graduate Programme Wales, we’d like to say a big thank you to our consortium and wider stakeholders for their continued support.
We wish you a very Happy Christmas and we look forward to working together in the New Year.
