Applications for the next Fast Track Programme are now closed.
The Fast-Track programme provides an intensive, 10-month programme of work experience, reinforced by applied academic study.
Kicking off with a comprehensive 4-week bootcamp you’ll gain the ability and confidence to be able to add value from day 1 of your employer placement. You’ll develop your knowledge of the fundamentals of Data and AI, understand best practice in application and methodologies meaning you’ll be fully equipped ahead of your placement.
During your placement with one of Wales’ leading employers you will gain further training and will work with your colleagues on real-world business problems and projects, giving you invaluable skills and experience.
Following a structured development plan that combines technical and nontechnical development, you’ll develop a rounded data science and analytics skillset, as well as building your profile and network that will fast track your career!
In addition to your training and career development, you will study for a fully funded post graduate Diploma in Applied Data/AI, delivered by University of South Wales School of Computing and Mathematics.
The qualification will teach the fundamentals of data, in particular how to understand, interpret, research, and manage complex data.
The Fast-Track Programme has been designed to ensure graduates stay at the forefront of the ever-changing landscape of the data and AI industry, and in turn, provides businesses with the in-demand skills needed to thrive in the sector.
Our Programme is inclusive, we are passionate about diversity and welcome all applications who meet the following criteria:
– A Degree graded 2:1 or above, in a highly technical and/or numeric discipline.
– The right to live and work in the UK.
– Due to the nature of the Programme, we are unable to recruit students who require a visa or sponsorship.

The Fast Track Programme has a unique structure, designed to condense your experience into 10 months.
All graduates will experience:
4 Week intensive bootcampThe programme starts with a 4 week intensive bootcamp where you'll learn the basics and get prepared for the world of work.
You’ll learn best practice application, working practices and methodologies to ensure you hit the ground running on day 1 of your placement.
The Bootcamp will form credits towards the wider Post Graduate qualification and includes:
• Understanding business context
• Data in Context and problem solving
• Data Analytics
• Programming for Data Analysis
• Hackathon

• You will be immersed in a fast paced business, that is part of the group that got voted in the top World’s Best Place to Work
• Able to create and deliver valuable model or models, that give insight or forecasting or pricing gains into an area or the business
• An excellent opportunity to work with a newly formed innovative and exciting DS team that are open to projects, processes and opportunities that you can influence.
Post Graduate QualificationThe qualification delivers the analytical and computing skills required to become proficient in the fundamentals of data, in particular to understand, interpret, research, and manage complex data.
